2025 Landlord Legislative Wrap-Up for Colorado Rental Property Owners
Colorado Realty and Property Management, in collaboration with the Colorado Housing Coalition (CHC), remained actively engaged throughout the 2025 legislative session to protect the interests of Colorado’s property owners and real estate investors.
With the guidance of our Manager of the Accounting team and CHC Lobbyist Liaison Chair, Samantha Santee, we monitored, influenced, and responded to bills that directly affect rental housing across the state. While not every outcome favored housing providers, CHC played a critical role in amending and stopping harmful legislation, while supporting efforts that encourage responsible property management and investment stability.
Here’s a summary of the key bills we tracked and where they landed. This work reflects our ongoing commitment to advocating for property rights, reducing regulatory burdens, and supporting smart housing policies.
Landlords and investors are encouraged to stay informed and engaged—your voice continues to matter.
Colorado Realty and Property Management is proud to serve as an advocate for our clients and industry. We will continue to show up, speak up, and push back when needed to protect housing providers across the state.
